 BARIUM CHROMATE

 It is a fine yellow powder with the formula BaCrO₄.  It is an oxidizing agent and produces a green flame when heated.

It is used in some pyrotechnic compositions especially delay compositions as an oxidizer and burn rate modifier.  As a pigment in paints, ceramics, colouring glasses, fuses and porcelains.  As a corrosion inhibitor to prevent electronical corrosion.  In safety matches, metal primers etc.
